An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Goiano in the 22nd minute of play forced LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Nemesio Bazkoare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedito Batista made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Flavio Gilen sent off a good shot on target. Nemesio Bazkoare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Nemesio Bazkoare was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermegildo Salvator was the one to do the kick off. Timoteo Basualdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Flavio Gilen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Benedito Batista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Dênis Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Junghaus 1972 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dênis Godoi couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. LOS PIRATAS fully deserved thier win.
