Peter Blomkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Villegas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Cornelio Villegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Blomkvist in the 14th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Joel Enekoitz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cornelio Villegas, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 54th minute of play forced Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Villegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes, Severo Tohias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavaliers FC and the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicasio Abad made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Desiderio Rami sent off a good shot on target. Baldomero Ilazki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Villegas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cavaliers FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enzo Elizardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s corner Kosmas Banasopoulos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cornelio Villegas quite easily take care of the ball. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ from getting a goal against them.
