In the 7thth minute of the game Merih Bengi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zico Zellier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Roman having to interfere. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merih Bengi in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Galácticos del Pueblo getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mohamed Bale hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Galácticos del Pueblo's Enzo Guerau got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Angel Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the GuateFortín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merih Bengi in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute Merih Bengi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Merih Bengi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nery Pumpido. GuateFortín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Merih Bengi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Roch Roman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lluciano Zafrilla in the 21st minute of play. Zico Zellier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roch Roman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Galácticos del Pueblo's goalkeeper Roch Roman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zico Zellier. In the 31st minute, GuateFortín's Zico Zellier ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roch Roman. Roch Roman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 37 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Bale came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Bale in the 39th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Galácticos del Pueblo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Maximiliano Perrando hit a great ball. Máximo Perrone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Roch Roman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Máximo Perrone made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Galácticos del Pueblo booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Najarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roch Roman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zico Zellier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Galácticos del Pueblo's Murillo Cano was substituted for Mohamed Bale. GuateFortín made a substitution. Stanyo Búnkov replaced Rudy Sigaran. Galácticos del Pueblo made a substitution. Marcial Claris replaced Lluciano Zafrilla. In the 72nd minute of the match GuateFortín got a corner. Galácticos del Pueblo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio Cerritos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
