In the 7th minute Arvid Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oden Torsson scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Venancio Rocendo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oden Torsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Alberto Micael got a free kick in the 15th minute. Vilgot Palmquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octavio Gorosti in the 17th minute. Octavio Gorosti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 23 in the game by Octavio Gorosti from a close distance when the talented Vilgot Palmquist managed to make a qualified save. Linköpings AIK's players were relieved. 24 minutes into the game, Arvid Carlsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Venancio Rocendo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vilgot Palmquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octavio Gorosti in the 28th minute. Vilgot Palmquist made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Octavio Gorosti sent off a good shot on target. Octavio Gorosti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilgot Palmquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Linköpings AIK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Domingo Gimenez was slow to take the kick. During this time Falckner FC's players had a chance to rest. Octavio Gorosti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Vilgot Palmquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oden Torsson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Rocendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Linköpings AIK's Oden Torsson in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Falckner FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute, Tạ Colado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Tạ Colado. Allan Karlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when George Gunnarsson made the kick off in the second half. Octavio Gorosti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vilgot Palmquist having to make a save. Linköpings AIK's Vilgot Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Gorosti in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavio Gorosti in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vilgot Palmquist saved Linköpings AIK from getting behind. When Octavio Gorosti came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Falckner FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Gorosti couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, Octavio Gorosti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venancio Rocendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oden Torsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. George Gunnarsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Venancio Rocendo firmly grabbed it by the left post. 69 minutes into the match, Octavio Gorosti notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Linköpings AIK's Vilgot Palmquist. Vilgot Palmquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Gunnarsson got free with Venancio Rocendo in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Carlsson came free, but Venancio Rocendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Vialli in the 82nd minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Vilgot Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falckner FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Domingo Gimenez in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Prospero Kiliz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vilgot Palmquist. Linköpings AIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prospero Kiliz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. George Gunnarsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Venancio Rocendo made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Gianluca Vialli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Falckner FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. 96 minutes into the game, Epifanio Seme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Falckner FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linköpings AIK the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Falckner FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Linköpings AIK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
