The supporters of Cactos booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Emerson Guedes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cactos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Cactos's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Quirino came free, but Bran Allison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match, Robben Spoelberchs got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bran Allison was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cactos's goalkeeper Bran Allison, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Castanheiro SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gabriel dos Santos was slow to take the kick. During this time Cactos's players had a chance to rest. In the 29th minute Emerson Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Dropinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wincent Dropinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cengizhan Baycan, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Robben Spoelberchs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Manfredo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Allison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes Castanheiro SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cengizhan Baycan to make the kick off. Juan Luis Rufo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Igor Ilyin struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Bran Allison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro SC. Castanheiro SC's Shi Cheng Chao was substituted for Hélder Schmidt. Wincent Dropinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Guedes in the 61st minute of play. Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Castanheiro SC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 73 minutes, Luisinho Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cactos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisinho Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cactos made a substitution. Dorival de Carvalho replaced Emerson Guedes. After 76 played minutes Cactos got a freekick which was hit by Matias Gaitan. Robben Spoelberchs took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bran Allison. Bran Allison dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 86th minute Alfredo Stefano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Allison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Daniel Romero hit a great ball. Dorival de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
