Vassilis Nentakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 14th minute, Geovanildo Luis made a precise shot to the right of Vassilis Nentakis. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 24th minute, Karsten Ulbak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Magheran in the 26th minute of play. Vassilis Nentakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanildo Luis, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovanildo Luis to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 60th minute of play forced S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goalkeeper Vassilis Nentakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vassilis Nentakis was a little too slow when Geovanildo Luis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-3. S.E. Pindorama Eagles made a substitution. Frits van Gaal replaced Inácio Ponta. Haji Sarap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frits van Gaal in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Horácio Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vassilis Nentakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Abraão came free, but Vassilis Nentakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Adhemar Santos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vassilis Nentakis. The goal made the score 0-4. Vassilis Nentakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
