Mariusz Dankowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aban McBjarton in the 8th minute of play. Torrey Molloy kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11thth minute of the game Rigan Frankson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reklinek SSA's Mariusz Dankowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ter Stegen made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when João Vítor do Valle sent off a good shot on target. When Reklinek SSA's Aureliusz Kalinowski in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1948 MKS's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Reklinek SSA booed when 1948 MKS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold McDecland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hendrick Sand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen got control of the ball when João Vítor do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Aureliusz Kalinowski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ter Stegen, passed just outside the right post. João Vítor do Valle came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ter Stegen could save by the left post. In the 44th minute, Aureliusz Kalinowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ter Stegen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Reklinek SSA's Mariusz Dankowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aban McBjarton in the 47th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Aban McBjarton made a precise shot to the right of Mariusz Dankowski. Reklinek SSA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Reklinek SSA made a substitution. Szymon Skorny replaced Hendrick Sand. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigan Frankson in the 71st minute of play forced Reklinek SSA's goalkeeper Mariusz Dankowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariusz Dankowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigan Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 82 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliusz Kalinowski came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beagan Colwell scored 1-4 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mariusz Dankowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reklinek SSA made a substitution. Andrzej Klawki replaced Lech Blochowiak. After 89 played minutes 1948 MKS got a freekick which was hit by Torrey Molloy. Ter Stegen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernado Lima in the 90th minute of the match. After some careless play in the 1948 MKS defense, Fernado Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ter Stegen. The 1948 MKS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ter Stegen should have stopped the shot. Ter Stegen came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Reklinek SSA's Witalis Tomaszewski. But to his dismay, Witalis Tomaszewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. The 1948 MKS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 1948 MKS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
