An unexpectedly hard shot by Han Xi Guang in the 5th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Errol Sharpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's Haritz Trespuentes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Errol Sharpe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Han Xi Guang in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Errol Sharpe saved Santos FC from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haritz Trespuentes came free, but Errol Sharpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Han Xi Guang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos FC's Errol Sharpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Han Xi Guang in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Ragland to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's Han Xi Guang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Errol Sharpe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Han Xi Guang in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Errol Sharpe saved Santos FC from getting behind. Errol Sharpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haritz Trespuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Haritz Trespuentes scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Errol Sharpe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Thanh Darden got a free kick in the 41st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Han Xi Guang to make the kick off. Han Xi Guang who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Errol Sharpe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 55th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reyes Ritter to maneuver through the defense. Louis Ragland kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos FC's goalkeeper Errol Sharpe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Han Xi Guang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Errol Sharpe was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Han Xi Guang took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Errol Sharpe. Errol Sharpe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Errol Sharpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Soto in the 69th minute of the match. Errol Sharpe came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Família Ressaca MZ's Han Xi Guang. But to his dismay, Han Xi Guang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 79th minute, Han Xi Guang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Errol Sharpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Santos FC's Errol Sharpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Han Xi Guang in the 82nd minute of play. Errol Sharpe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Han Xi Guang's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 88thth minute of the game Han Xi Guang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos FC's Errol Sharpe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Han Xi Guang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Errol Sharpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Família Ressaca MZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
