Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Glauco Abraão got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute, Faustão Brodel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chris Hemsley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Kenneth Limmer came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Elderslie Magpies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Limmer couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Elderslie Magpies defense, Óskar Aspfors kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chris Hemsley. The Elderslie Magpies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chris Hemsley should have stopped the shot. Chris Hemsley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Óskar Aspfors took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chris Hemsley. Chris Hemsley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Elderslie Magpies's zone, Romário Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chris Hemsley came out of the goal and Romário Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Elderslie Magpies defense, Romário Romero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chris Hemsley. The Elderslie Magpies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chris Hemsley should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ed Skittrall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Dakota Vickery fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elderslie Magpies's protests and gave Dakota Vickery a yellow card for diving instead. Dakota Vickery kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Chris Hemsley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óskar Aspfors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Hemsley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óskar Aspfors in the 55th minute of play forced Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Chris Hemsley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Chris Hemsley made a huge save. Rogério Siqueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chris Hemsley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Ed Skittrall. With a little luck, Elderslie Magpies's Chris Hemsley got control of the ball when Óskar Aspfors tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Romário Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Óskar Aspfors put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Chris Hemsley. Rogério Siqueira took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chris Hemsley. Chris Hemsley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. In the 90thth minute of the game Óskar Aspfors who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elderslie Magpies's Chris Hemsley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 91 minutes, Mitchell Warren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elderslie Magpies and the ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Mitchell Warren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Naohiro Takahara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chris Hemsley. Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óskar Aspfors got free with Chris Hemsley in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
