Despite this Marcelo Cordairo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. ViCeNzA's Angelo Lordi got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Breno da Mata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergio Livingstone was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by ViCeNzA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Epifanio Canor was slow to take the kick. During this time Copetonas AFC's players had a chance to rest. Genaro Tuste made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Copetonas AFC's Epifanio Canor. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clodoveo Cayo in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Cordairo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Cordairo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clodoveo Cayo's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Marcelo Cordairo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Long Stora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Long Stora made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Cordairo. Copetonas AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Long Stora might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Cordairo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Long Stora ran back to his position shaking his head. After 43 played minutes Copetonas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Canor. After 44 played minutes, ViCeNzA's Long Stora shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcelo Cordairo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ViCeNzA reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

ViCeNzA's Sergio Livingstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Ciutacu in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Copetonas AFC's Kostas Paxinos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergio Livingstone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wellington Flores got free with Marcelo Cordairo in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Long Stora scored 1-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Cordairo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Copetonas AFC's Pompiliu Ciutacu got a free kick in the 62nd minute.
