In the 3rd minute, Rolando Luar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensores del Ángel Gris fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Alfonso Indar came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Inter Miami CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Indar couldn't finish the play. After 7 minutes, Ricardo Giusti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defensores del Ángel Gris and the Inter Miami CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Ricardo Giusti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Llope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Eron in the 8th minute of the match. Leonardo Llope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Barea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Benito Bermudez made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Llope. Defensores del Ángel Gris's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Karam Wahbi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Marcos Chuan made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Severo Eron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter Miami CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a rather tough play, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Benicio Beltza got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes, Inter Miami CF's Braulio Cilio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonardo Llope came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter Miami CF reached it. If Severo Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severo Eron in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Llope saved Defensores del Ángel Gris from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in Inter Miami CF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! A collision led to Defensores del Ángel Gris getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Benicio Beltza hit a great ball. When Inter Miami CF's Severo Eron in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalie prevented a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rolando Luar to make the kick off. Leonardo Llope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Eron in the 52nd minute of the match. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Ricardo Giusti got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Ricardo Giusti off the ground. Inter Miami CF made a substitution. Fausto Manni replaced Dionisio Arias. Ricardo Giusti hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Indar in the 57th minute of play forced Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalkeeper Leonardo Llope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabi Golanski in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Celestino Bastian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Severo Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silverio Orlan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Chuan having to make a save. In the 67th minute Severo Eron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Llope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Llope was a little too slow when Teo Barea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-4. Rolando Luar hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Severo Eron had several of the Defensores del Ángel Gris's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Leonardo Llope as he didn't even see the shot coming. Marcos Chuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabi Golanski, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Leonardo Llope made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Barea in the 93rd minute. After 94 played minutes Inter Miami CF got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Lizar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Inter Miami CF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
