After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Su Yuan Yu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Su Yuan Yu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Chuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teo Barea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Aureo having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Real Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Amato. Isaac Aureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Eron in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Real Racing Club's Su Yuan Yu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Su Yuan Yu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Su Yuan Yu got free with Marcos Chuan in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Chuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Su Yuan Yu, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Benito Bermudez kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th play minute Su Yuan Yu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcos Chuan. 2-0. With his leg Marcos Chuan managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Real Racing Club's Su Yuan Yu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jaime Lawrence hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severo Eron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Alfonso Indar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Miami CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Racing Club the free kick. After 52 played minutes Inter Miami CF got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Indar. With a little luck, Real Racing Club's Isaac Aureo got control of the ball when Teo Barea tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Su Yuan Yu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Racing Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A sloppy throw-in by Dionisio Arias in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Racing Club's Jaime Lawrence. Marcos Chuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Su Yuan Yu's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Isaac Aureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Indar in the 65th minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, Real Racing Club's Su Yuan Yu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Chuan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 71 played minutes Real Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Giorgian De Arrascaeta. Isaac Aureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Eron in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Inter Miami CF booed when Real Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Amato didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Teo Barea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaac Aureo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Su Yuan Yu in the 91st minute of play forced Inter Miami CF's goalkeeper Marcos Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Chuan having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Real Racing Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Inter Miami CF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
