Toto Rios hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Ortiz in the 5th minute of play forced ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper Sergio Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Paulo Diniz came out of the goal and Beto Centella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30th play minutes Zé Paulo Ortiz shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Sergio Gutierrez and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 36th minute Beto Centella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Paulo Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kauã Antunes during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Jonathan De Diego got a free kick in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Paulo Ortiz made a kick off. Sergio Gutierrez made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Zé Paulo Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Freitas hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Zé Paulo Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the game, Sergio Lozano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Sergio Lozano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Clemente Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan De Diego's late challenge caught a LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan De Diego helped the player get up and apologised. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC made a substitution. Edgar Duarte replaced Pedro Luiz Reis. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Paulo Ortiz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergio Gutierrez. That made the score 1-2 in the 82 minute of play. Sergio Gutierrez made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Paulo Paiva in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ►Las Mercedes F.C◄.
