The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauã Antunes got free with Eraldo Scibilia in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armin Corelli kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Paulo Ortiz in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eraldo Scibilia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Angelo Mariotti managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.S.C. NAPOLI's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Mariotti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Paulo Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC defense, Ciccio Moscatelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Paulo Diniz. The LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Paulo Diniz should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Moscatelli in the 19th minute of play forced LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Paulo Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Mariotti in the 23rd minute of play. Luiz Paulo Diniz came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by S.S.C. NAPOLI's Angelo Mariotti. But to his dismay, Angelo Mariotti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luiz Paulo Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Guadagnoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Eraldo Scibilia managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Zé Paulo Ortiz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ciccio Moscatelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Diniz having to interfere. The LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.S.C. NAPOLI were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Ciccio Moscatelli made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Paulo Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Moscatelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Fioriti might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Paulo Diniz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Fioriti ran back to his position shaking his head. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Luiz Paulo Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciccio Moscatelli in the 89th minute of play. José Paulo Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eraldo Scibilia having to make a save. Eraldo Scibilia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the match was over S.S.C. NAPOLI could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC throughout the match.
