Sabin Teodorescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Kosmidis having to interfere. AC Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sabin Teodorescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th minute, Federico Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikos Kosmidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Federico Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikos Kosmidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. When Federico Moura came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Sporting Royal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Moura couldn't finish the play. After 16 played minutes Sporting Royal got a freekick which was hit by Sabin Teodorescu. Octavian Gherasescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Moura came free, but Nikos Kosmidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavian Gherasescu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Sporting Royal's Lucrețiu Roșeanu got control of the ball when Diogenis Gittas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Nildo Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Royal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 37 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Stavratos. Nikos Kosmidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nildo Matos went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Federico Moura took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikos Kosmidis. Nikos Kosmidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Zisis Batsinilas kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nildo Matos to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sabin Teodorescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikos Kosmidis. Zisis Batsinilas's late challenge caught a Sporting Royal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zisis Batsinilas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Zisis Batsinilas hit a great ball. Nikos Kosmidis was a little too slow when Corneliu Voican got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-7. 62 minutes into the game, Sabin Teodorescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Nikos Kosmidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute, Albert Dima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nildo Matos struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Nikos Kosmidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Royal. Nikos Kosmidis was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Federico Moura capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Federico Moura really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. Nikos Kosmidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nildo Matos in the 75th minute. Sporting Royal's Corneliu Voican got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sabin Teodorescu took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikos Kosmidis. Nikos Kosmidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. 87 minutes into the game, Nildo Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Nikos Kosmidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sabin Teodorescu scored 0-13 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikos Kosmidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corneliu Voican got free with Nikos Kosmidis in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sporting Royal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
