The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Victor Valdez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dewa Gol's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Dewa Gol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dewa Gol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Victor Valdez made a huge save. With a little luck, POPODARA F.C's Victor Valdez got control of the ball when Dewa Gol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Runar Melum kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. POPODARA F.C's Victor Valdez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bawang Merah in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, POPODARA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Dewa Gol came free, but Victor Valdez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victor Valdez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 28th minute, Dewa Gol fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Victor Valdez, passed just outside the right post. POPODARA F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Dewa Gol scored to the left of an out of position Victor Valdez, making the score, 2-0. The audience was convinced that Dewa Gol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Valdez was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 37th match minute, SAPI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daffa Sopandi to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes POPODARA F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bawang Merah who took care of the corner kick. Victor Valdez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bawang Merah in the 45th minute of the match. Victor Valdez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tor-Ivar Kalland struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Paijo Sutrisna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for POPODARA F.C. 69 minutes into the game, Jack Berland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. POPODARA F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAPI FC the free kick. In the 72ndth minute of the game Dewa Gol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but POPODARA F.C's Victor Valdez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewa Gol in the 74th minute of play forced POPODARA F.C's goalkeeper Victor Valdez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind POPODARA F.C's goalkeeper Victor Valdez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute of the match SAPI FC got a corner. POPODARA F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bawang Merah ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Bawang Merah almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but POPODARA F.C's Victor Valdez did a great save. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when POPODARA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ole-Petter Hagberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Dewa Gol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but POPODARA F.C's Victor Valdez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martinus Bachdim kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SAPI FC's zone, Rune Vistnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paijo Sutrisna came out of the goal and Rune Vistnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 played minutes SAPI FC got a freekick which was hit by Tyo Syarifudin. Victor Valdez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dewa Gol in the 89th minute of play. After 90 played minutes POPODARA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ole-Petter Hagberg. After having played for 94 minutes, Sad Boy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAPI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sad Boy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tor-Ivar Kalland came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the POPODARA F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tor-Ivar Kalland couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the POPODARA F.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SAPI FC.
