But to his dismay, Tor-Ivar Kalland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th match minute, POPODARA F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor-Magnus Olberg to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Nildo Matos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Valdez was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the match, POPODARA F.C's goalkeeper Victor Valdez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nildo Matos. 21 minutes into the match, Sporting Royal's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Stangeland came free, but Lucrețiu Roșeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nildo Matos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Valdez was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After 31 minutes POPODARA F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nildo Matos who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Sporting Royal getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Nae Moisil hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Tor-Magnus Olberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POPODARA F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor-Magnus Olberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucrețiu Roșeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tor-Magnus Olberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nildo Matos made the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Nildo Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but POPODARA F.C's Victor Valdez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Valdez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 played minutes Sporting Royal got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Voican. Federico Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Valdez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Victor Valdez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Moura in the 64th minute of play. Victor Valdez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nildo Matos's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Nildo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Valdez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Matos in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Sporting Royal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneliu Voican to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Sabin Teodorescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Royal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave POPODARA F.C the free kick. The Sporting Royal fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Sporting Royal's Nildo Matos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kristian Stangeland's late challenge caught a Sporting Royal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Stangeland helped the player get up and apologised. Kristian Stangeland hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. A collision led to POPODARA F.C getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Tor-Magnus Olberg hit a great ball. Victor Valdez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nildo Matos's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nildo Matos in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Valdez saved POPODARA F.C from getting behind. If Octavian Gherasescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
