Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacob Albuquerque started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes, Despidida AFC's Dominik Fink shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Despidida AFC reached it. 9 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Kopacz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon. Pierluigi Buffon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute Czeslaw Kopacz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacob Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Fernando Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Kopacz in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Emiliano Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacob Albuquerque succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. In the 34th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Fink to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Czeslaw Kopacz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Emiliano Velasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierluigi Buffon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Pierluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Kopacz in the 47th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Velasco to make the kick off. KaoS Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez was substituted for Emiliano Velasco. Despidida AFC's Arturo Arano was substituted for Dominik Fink. Jacob Albuquerque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. KaoS Futbol Club's Igor Lebas was substituted for Jacob Albuquerque. Despidida AFC were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after KaoS Futbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fulgencio Furman took the corner. The corner led Despidida AFC's Feliksas Fenichev to fire away a dangerous shot which Pierluigi Buffon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, León Ponzio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Despidida AFC's Feliksas Fenichev quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute Igor Lebas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the KaoS Futbol Club defense, Toro Martínez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierluigi Buffon. The KaoS Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierluigi Buffon should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Despidida AFC's Kees Harmsen got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute of the match Noel Hargrave shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Selatse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Toro Martínez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.
The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Despidida AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
