In the 8th minute Santiago Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimír Mergl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Isidoro Francesco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in VAMO ARRIBA's zone, Aleš Širůček stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Platon came out of the goal and Aleš Širůček tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FK Eldema Mstišov's Vladimír Mergl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Carlomagno in the 20th minute of play. Santiago Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimír Mergl having to interfere. Vladimír Mergl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Francesco in the 25th minute of play. Angelino Platon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Šubert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FK Eldema Mstišov's Vladimír Mergl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Francesco in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Isidoro Francesco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimír Mergl was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. When Petr Palička fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Eldema Mstišov's protests and gave Petr Palička a yellow card for diving instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Šubert to make the kick off. Isidoro Francesco came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vladimír Mergl could save by the left post. Vladimír Mergl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Lindberg in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
