Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hermengildo Jobo got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of De Digitale Dribbelaars booed when UFC STEAUA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Cercelescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Filip Vulpăşin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mugur Nisipeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Richard Waldijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafet Faydalı in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Waldijk saved De Digitale Dribbelaars from getting behind. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rien Eringa sped through UFC STEAUA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Basarab Mâinea. In the 30th minute, one of UFC STEAUA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UFC STEAUA. Basarab Mâinea came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by De Digitale Dribbelaars's Rien Eringa. But to his dismay, Rien Eringa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. UFC STEAUA's Mugur Nisipeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half De Digitale Dribbelaars were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rien Eringa made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to UFC STEAUA getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Hermengildo Jobo hit a great ball. Rien Eringa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basarab Mâinea having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, Rien Eringa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basarab Mâinea. UFC STEAUA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rien Eringa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 61 played minutes UFC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Hurmuzescu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Coenraad Bosstraeten got free with Basarab Mâinea in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Rien Eringa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafet Faydalı's late challenge caught a De Digitale Dribbelaars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafet Faydalı helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Rafet Faydalı got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Roger Vedder fired a really elegant long shot, but Basarab Mâinea threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Richard Waldijk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Jobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafet Faydalı to maneuver through the defense. Rien Eringa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basarab Mâinea having to make a save. When Rien Eringa came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the De Digitale Dribbelaars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rien Eringa couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the game, Rien Eringa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Basarab Mâinea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rien Eringa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Basarab Mâinea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rien Eringa succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. Coenraad Bosstraeten had several of the UFC STEAUA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Basarab Mâinea as he didn't even see the shot coming.
