Maurino Serena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peep Pronk in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute of the match AC LeX Luthor got a corner. A.D. Alcorcón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Yepes ran over to the corner to take the kick. 16 minutes into the game, Nereo Acosta threw the ball into play from the sideline. AC LeX Luthor's Godfredo Oriche quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 17 minutes into the game, AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurino Serena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. AC LeX Luthor's Fulgencio Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erlantz Bermejo in the 24th minute of play. A.D. Alcorcón's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nereo Acosta in the 26th minute. When AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peep Pronk in the 29th minute of play. Fulgencio Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Vadillos, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Peep Pronk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Pancho Branca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 43 minutes, Nereo Acosta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.D. Alcorcón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nereo Acosta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Belo Alvarez was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurino Serena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 58thth minute of the game Peep Pronk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peep Pronk in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurino Serena saved A.D. Alcorcón from getting behind. AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes A.D. Alcorcón got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Mayor. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Ciuvică in the 73rd minute of the match. Maurino Serena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Ciuvică, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The corner led AC LeX Luthor's Mario Yepes to fire away a dangerous shot which Maurino Serena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 87th minute, Aristide Ciuvică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Aristide Ciuvică came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aristide Ciuvică took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurino Serena. Maurino Serena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1.
