Angelino Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peep Pronk, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Virgílio Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Fulgencio Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulgencio Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano de Toledo in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano de Toledo in the 14th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Fulgencio Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rodion Nikitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Hermenegildo Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Nueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelino Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodion Nikitin in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Reko-Recko 03™ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Leandro de Almeida hit a great ball. AC LeX Luthor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peep Pronk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svali Bollason was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelino Nueva was left in no man's land by his defense there! 58 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelino Nueva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes into the game, Cipriano França threw the ball into play from the sideline. AC LeX Luthor's Modesto Jaunzuria quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Reko-Recko 03™'s Angelino Nueva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Reko-Recko 03™ from getting a goal against them. Angelino Nueva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeledon Savion in the 69th minute. With a little luck, Reko-Recko 03™'s Angelino Nueva got control of the ball when Aristide Ciuvică tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angelino Nueva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The AC LeX Luthor players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
