Fırat Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kustaa Esala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Fırat Aytekin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fırat Aytekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kustaa Esala in the 17th minute. Ciro da Silveira struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Juhapekka Snellman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Corinthians Paulista. Fırat Aytekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pentti Ojala, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Johannes Kruuse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save S.C. Corinthians Paulista from getting a goal against them. Fırat Aytekin made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Laurențiu Pora sent off a good shot on target. After 43 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Kruuse. Johannes Kruuse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pentti Ojala hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Liverpool FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.C. Corinthians Paulista were winning 0-2.

52 minutes into the game, Maurício Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liverpool FC the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, S.C. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Giandomenico in the 95th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Juhapekka Snellman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

S.C. Corinthians Paulista's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
