Pascoal Antas scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias Fresco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to FC Fura Balizas getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Pascoal Antas hit a great ball. Jeremias Fresco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascoal Antas in the 43rd minute of play. Jeremias Fresco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Sardinha, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes, Genaro Etxepare mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celta de Virgos and the FC Fura Balizas players grew even worse after the yellow card. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Márcio Cordeiro made the kick off and play began. FC Fura Balizas's Angelo Sardinha got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Márcio Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 101st minute, the FC Fura Balizas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márcio Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Iraitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 102nd minute of the match, but Evaristo Ovando made a huge save. Jeremias Fresco came out of the goal in the 104th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Fura Balizas's Márcio Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Márcio Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. FC Fura Balizas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
