With a little luck, FC Lëtzebuerg's Bobby Krier got control of the ball when Franky Ooms tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franky Ooms in the 6th minute of play forced FC Lëtzebuerg's goalkeeper Bobby Krier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernd Chevalier in the 9th minute of play forced Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Basarab Marincean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Lëtzebuerg's Tim Tudor got a free kick in the 10th minute. Bobby Krier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franky Ooms in the 13th minute of the match. When Orhan Ortanca came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Buffalo Timişoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orhan Ortanca couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franky Ooms in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bobby Krier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cédric Payen fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lëtzebuerg's protests and gave Cédric Payen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when FC Lëtzebuerg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cédric Payen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julien Klopp's late challenge caught a Buffalo Timişoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julien Klopp helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Julien Klopp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernd Chevalier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, FC Lëtzebuerg's Tim Tudor seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tim Tudor the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Lëtzebuerg protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tim Tudor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of FC Lëtzebuerg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Buffalo Timişoara:s goal.

Bobby Krier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Voicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Apfelbaum hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Albert Turdeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 61 minutes into the match, Bernd Chevalier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basarab Marincean, 1-1. Buffalo Timişoara made a substitution. Alin Sbârcea replaced Magno Dantas. Bernd Chevalier hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, one of Buffalo Timişoara:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buffalo Timişoara. Bobby Krier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Voicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute, FC Lëtzebuerg's Bernd Chevalier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. After 90 played minutes FC Lëtzebuerg got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Behr. Bobby Krier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Noworolnik in the 94th minute of play. Bobby Krier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Voicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basarab Marincean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernd Chevalier, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.

The Buffalo Timişoara manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC Lëtzebuerg to win.
