Vicente Ipar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jeremias Tuste hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The long shot by Fermín Montes in the 22nd minute really tested Vicente Ipar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Eustacio Inko hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Islas FC's Vicente Ipar got control of the ball when Chiquito Escalante tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simón Iturbe to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Araya came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Islas FC's Constantino Pueblo. But to his dismay, Constantino Pueblo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian Insaurralde to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Eustacio Inko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hugo Araya saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermín Montes in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Ipar saved Islas FC from getting behind. Zorros del Desierto made a substitution. Liberto Aedo replaced Jorge-Luis Sivieri. Zorros del Desierto made a substitution. Noé Saso replaced Fermín Montes. After 57 played minutes Zorros del Desierto got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Hrean. In the 60th minute, Noé Saso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Ipar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Jeremias Tuste's late challenge caught a Zorros del Desierto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Tuste helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Islas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Tuste to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Islas FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Aquiles Grabiel hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Noé Saso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Ipar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zorros del Desierto's Hugo Araya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Zorros del Desierto from getting a goal against them. In the 69th match minute, Islas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Tuste to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Zorros del Desierto's Chiquito Escalante got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Zorros del Desierto got a corner. Islas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfonso Parot ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alfonso Parot made a great header on Zorros del Desierto's corner, it was just that Islas FC's Vicente Ipar managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquito Escalante in the 85th minute of play forced Islas FC's goalkeeper Vicente Ipar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Alcântara's late challenge caught a Zorros del Desierto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. Vicente Ipar had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Chiquito Escalante's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Zorros del Desierto's Chiquito Escalante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Ipar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Jeremias Tuste hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Alfonso Parot struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Vicente Ipar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zorros del Desierto.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zorros del Desierto had won after a very even match.
