In the 26th minute 龚康松 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Oardă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Café DE PLOEG booed when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Bărbuceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute 龚康松 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Oardă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Lucila to make the kick off. Café DE PLOEG's Carel Van de Schrieck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Café DE PLOEG from getting a goal against them. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Café DE PLOEG's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ernest Oprescu took the corner. The corner led to MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Liviu Frumușanu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Dinu Oardă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 龚康松's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 81st minute, Ionuț Covrig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Dinu Oardă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Wiechgers in the 83rd minute of play. Ludwig Kloots received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dinu Oardă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by 龚康松 in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Mihăiţă Moisil. There was no doubt that Café DE PLOEG were the better team. Café DE PLOEG's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
