Grêmio RK75's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montevideo the free kick. After having played for 17 minutes, Renan Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Loyola notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Grêmio RK75's Bebeto Paranaense. Bebeto Paranaense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafinha Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Rafinha Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Ferreira in the 24th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Diego Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafinha Zanette was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denílson Ferreira in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafinha Zanette prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafinha Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafinha Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Costa in the 44th minute of the match. Adhemar Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper Bebeto Paranaense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dagoberto Loyola. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dagoberto Loyola to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Maia to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the match, Diego Costa notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Montevideo's Rafinha Zanette. Rafinha Zanette was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 58 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goalkeeper Rafinha Zanette had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Costa. Diego Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafinha Zanette having to make a save. Pietro Geromel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 71st play minutes Adhemar Sabóia shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Rafinha Zanette and just under the crossbar into goal. 74 minutes into the game, Serginho Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio RK75's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montevideo the free kick. Rafinha Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Ferreira in the 81st minute of play. Rafinha Zanette made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Diego Costa sent off a good shot on target. Diego Costa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rafinha Zanette firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Ferreira in the 92nd minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Rafinha Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Rafinha Zanette made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Grêmio RK75's Denílson Ferreira got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Montevideo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grêmio RK75's performance. The match ended with a win for Grêmio RK75.
