After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Mathis Limpens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leif Opdal came out of the goal and Mathis Limpens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Frode Tobiassen made a precise shot to the right of Willem-Jan Steuckens. KFC Paal-Tervant's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Paal-Tervant from getting a goal against them. Tom Utheim kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, August Bergsland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Willem-Jan Steuckens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Willem-Jan Steuckens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from August Bergsland in the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens got control of the ball when Frode Tobiassen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Kai Østbye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mathis Limpens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willem-Jan Steuckens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from August Bergsland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when August Bergsland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Willem-Jan Steuckens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from August Bergsland in the 50th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Brufoss IL's Frode Tobiassen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Willem-Jan Steuckens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Willem-Jan Steuckens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from August Bergsland in the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to KFC Paal-Tervant getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Didier Laureys hit a great ball. Mathis Limpens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kai Østbye in the 88th minute of play. Mathis Limpens who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Leif Opdal when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
