In the 3rd match minute, Elizabeth Three Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kev Bryant to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Ings. Danny Hill lost his temper 9 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Elizabeth Three Lions FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of De Gulden Draak:s goal. If Wigalf Lilleike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siim Kikas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Flintoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Danny Ings slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Siim Kikas. That made the score 1-1 after 40 minutes of play. Arne Söderberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wigalf Lilleike in the 45th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Manuel Peres got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arne Söderberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danny Ings to make the kick off. Danny Ings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siim Kikas having to interfere. 1-2 became the score in the 52nd minute when Wigalf Lilleike elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Arne Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Peres in the 66th minute of play. Manuel Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Söderberg having to interfere. When Nils Kettler came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the De Gulden Draak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Kettler couldn't finish the play. After having played for 72 minutes, Danny Flintoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Flintoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Elizabeth Three Lions FC booed when De Gulden Draak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ellis Thierse didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heinrich Rittmann in the 79th minute of play forced Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Arne Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Peres came free, but Arne Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when Elizabeth Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frazer Scriven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Arne Söderberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nils Kettler might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arne Söderberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nils Kettler ran back to his position shaking his head. After 93 minutes, Tony Hibbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elizabeth Three Lions FC and the De Gulden Draak players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when Elizabeth Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Hibbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched De Gulden Draak eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
