Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vassilis Stratidis to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, De Gulden Draak's Heinrich Rittmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Themistoklis Charalambakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 56 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Kettler came free, but Themistoklis Charalambakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
