In the 20th minute DJVAGALUMY FC. were awarded a corner. Joélson Silveira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Nelsinho Figueiredo to fire away a dangerous shot which Leif Opdal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The corner led to DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Fabinho de Senna getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-1 when August Bergsland sped through DJVAGALUMY FC.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Robinho Amorim. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when DJVAGALUMY FC. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thiago Vidal in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leif Opdal saved Brufoss IL from getting behind. Frode Tobiassen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Opdal having to interfere.
