HIT Gorica's Lan Šorli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Ariando in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Demeter Denac during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of DeportivoIndependienteMDP booed when HIT Gorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demeter Denac didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to DeportivoIndependienteMDP getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Marciano Sarracino hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Goražd Djordjević to strike the kick off in the second half. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HIT Gorica the free kick. After a rather tough play, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Marciano Sarracino got a free kick in the 85th minute. Goražd Djordjević took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baltasar Roldan. Baltasar Roldan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
