Robin Bäckström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Marcus Mjølner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baltasar Roldan was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Marciano Sarracino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Bäckström having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Baltasar Roldan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 36 minutes into the match, Marcus Mjølner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baltasar Roldan. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Mjølner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Baltasar Roldan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Robin Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Ariando in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Marcelino Roland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
