But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Chiriloaie couldn't finish the play. Alex Răduț came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vasile Neața could save by the left post. Cătălin Octavian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Victor Cucerzan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ASF BAIA MARE -MM- getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ivan Stanciu hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Gabriel Chiriloaie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Octavian came free, but Corneliu Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Alex Răduț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasile Neața saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corneliu Vulpăşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Octavian in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Codrin Boc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Buciu in the 27th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Vasile Neața to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Cucerzan in the 28th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Iulian Buciu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vasile Neața. That made the score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Unicorns ™'s Alex Răduț made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vasile Neața was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Cătălin Octavian managed to get in a good position for a shot. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cătălin Octavian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneliu Vulpăşin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Chiriloaie charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Chiriloaie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Unicorns ™ booed when ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Chiriloaie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Cucerzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cătălin Octavian made a kick off. Gabriel Chiriloaie kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Chiriloaie got free with Corneliu Vulpăşin in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 66 minutes, Damian Ghișe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unicorns ™ and the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Unicorns ™ getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Damian Ghișe hit a great ball. A long shot from Gigi Şchiopu in the 67th minute of play was well struck, but Corneliu Vulpăşin made a really good save at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codrin Boc during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute, Codrin Boc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cătălin Octavian might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corneliu Vulpăşin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cătălin Octavian ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Victor Cucerzan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corneliu Vulpăşin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Iulian Buciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unicorns ™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Iulian Buciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasile Neața breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Unicorns ™! Gigi Şchiopu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Unicorns ™ fans cheered their team off the field, for while ASF BAIA MARE -MM- had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
