The audience was convinced that Umberto Dionísio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidro Arribas was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Palle Irø came free, but Pedrinho Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 64th minute of play forced Couto Mixto F.C.'s goalkeeper Isidro Arribas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Sigfrido Camarasa was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Isidro Arribas came out of the goal and Marcelo Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Castanheiro SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Couto Mixto F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
