Werner Zernicke took the corner. 麦迅霖 came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Give Peace a Chance's Amadeo Bermel. But to his dismay, Amadeo Bermel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Conny Schuhmacher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 顾旭昆's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute, 顾旭昆 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 麦迅霖 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Bermel, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Lu Sang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but 麦迅霖 made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 顾旭昆 to make the kick off. 麦迅霖 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Bermel in the 53rd minute of the match. But to his dismay, Amadeo Bermel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 麦迅霖 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Bermel in the 80th minute of play. Werner Zernicke might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 麦迅霖. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Werner Zernicke ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, 辽宁国际队's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Zernicke came free, but 麦迅霖 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 顾旭昆 struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Conny Schuhmacher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 辽宁国际队. After having played for 89 minutes, Amadeo Bermel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Give Peace a Chance's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Bermel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
