Frédéric Gout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wang Fei Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Wang Fei Xing might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frédéric Gout. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wang Fei Xing ran back to his position shaking his head. Frédéric Gout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wang Fei Xing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Cats and dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Wang Fei Xing came free, but Frédéric Gout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Wang Fei Xing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vila Industrial FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Frédéric Gout came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Industrial FC's Wang Fei Xing. But to his dismay, Wang Fei Xing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaétan Bouchard got free with Rony Zanette in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Vila Industrial FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Teobald Pyczkowski hit a great ball. Rony Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaétan Bouchard in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Wang Fei Xing notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cats and dogs's Frédéric Gout. Frédéric Gout was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Cats and dogs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vila Industrial FC were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Terry Sauvestre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Wang Fei Xing recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frédéric Gout. Wang Fei Xing showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Cats and dogs's zone, Wang Fei Xing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frédéric Gout came out of the goal and Wang Fei Xing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Wang Fei Xing took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Frédéric Gout to make any attempt to save it. Vila Industrial FC made a substitution. Délio Moura replaced Wang Fei Xing. Vila Industrial FC's João Francisco Silveira was substituted for Jarvis Cock. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Moura in the 76th minute of play forced Cats and dogs's goalkeeper Frédéric Gout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
