The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Norra Sandby FF's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Blom came free, but Uba Uba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Ciano Barba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uba Uba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciano Barba in the 14th minute of play forced Norra Sandby FF's goalkeeper Uba Uba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Michael Finman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Allan Löfgren. Michael Finman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 24th match minute, Norra Sandby FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thor Bållström to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Evert Wester took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Allan Löfgren to make any attempt to save it. Uba Uba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciano Barba in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Hammarbys Springpojkar getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Filip Andreasson hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Hammarbys Springpojkar defense, Michael Finman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allan Löfgren. The Hammarbys Springpojkar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allan Löfgren should have stopped the shot. Agne Törnqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Viktor Siggesson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Allan Löfgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Wester in the 51st minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Norra Sandby FF's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Blom came free, but Uba Uba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciano Barba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Uba Uba when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hammarbys Springpojkar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filip Andreasson in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Paquito Ruiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Viktor Siggesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uba Uba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uba Uba made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ciano Barba sent off a good shot on target. Uba Uba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Blom in the 74th minute. A collision led to Hammarbys Springpojkar getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Kurt Blom hit a great ball. Norra Sandby FF made a substitution. Edgar Michnik replaced Michael Finman. Kurt Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Evert Wester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hammarbys Springpojkar's Ciano Barba in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ciano Barba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uba Uba having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Norra Sandby FF's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Blom came free, but Uba Uba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Norra Sandby FF got a freekick which was hit by Bakar Kaká. A hard shot 91 in the game by Ciano Barba from a close distance when the talented Uba Uba managed to make a qualified save. Norra Sandby FF's players were relieved. After 94 minutes of play, Hammarbys Springpojkar's Kurt Blom made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uba Uba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hammarbys Springpojkar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
