After 21 played minutes Magic is Back got a freekick which was hit by Celso Nerio. 25 minutes into the match, Magic is Back's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Gelsomini came free, but Enzo Silviano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braulio Henrico kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Palacios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Magic is Back's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Boca Jrs the free kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Palacios was the one to do the kick off. CA Boca Jrs's Diego Tassotti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Palacios in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 played minutes CA Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Gelsomini. In the 55th minute of the match Enrique Argina shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diego Tassotti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Diego Tassotti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Palacios, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Diego Tassotti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Palacios in the 58th minute of the match. Magic is Back's Enzo Silviano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Magic is Back from getting a goal against them. From close distance Ettore Gelsomini pressed in the 1-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 73 minutes into the game. With a little luck, Magic is Back's Enzo Silviano got control of the ball when Ettore Gelsomini tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the CA Boca Jrs defense, Enrique Argina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Tassotti. The CA Boca Jrs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Tassotti should have stopped the shot. Diego Tassotti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Argina in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Benigno Ricart left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magic is Back fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
