The Leones FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Matias Montes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vanadio F.C. the free kick. In the 8th minute, Matias Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltasar Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gipuzkoa Gante in the 15th minute of play. Gaspar Sabin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Santana. Baltasar Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gipuzkoa Gante in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Vanadio F.C. were awarded a corner. Hats Selgas went to the cornerflag to take it. Hats Selgas made a great header on Vanadio F.C.'s corner, it was just that Leones FC's Baltasar Meder managed to reach the ball for a save. When Arnaldo Leguizamón fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave Arnaldo Leguizamón a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Arnaldo Leguizamón hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Serafin Hori cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Frutos Cubas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 35 minutes, Serafin Hori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafin Hori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnaldo Leguizamón hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Baltasar Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gipuzkoa Gante in the 39th minute of play. Xuan Presedo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honrio Izarra to strike the kick off in the second half. Baltasar Meder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honrio Izarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Serafin Hori recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frutos Cubas. Serafin Hori showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Leones FC's Serafin Hori got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Carlos Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vanadio F.C. made a substitution. Marin Beytia replaced Michael Curiel. In the 70th minute Gipuzkoa Gante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Meder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Calvino hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Gaspar Sabin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frutos Cubas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Baltasar Meder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Vanadio F.C. lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
