In the 8th minute, Manly FC's Carmichael Carbery ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelio Giammaria. Aurelio Giammaria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Manly FC booed when P O L O N I A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Siwek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neville Marsland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Giammaria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Aurelio Giammaria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Aldridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 93rd minute, Kryspin Galagan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The P O L O N I A fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
