Dario Wilhelm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Slæggerup, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Edvard Slæggerup, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 15 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dario Wilhelm was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Edvard Slæggerup blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dario Wilhelm having to make a save. 23 minutes into the match, Cascade Park West's goal looked a bit too open when Edvard Slæggerup came free, but Dario Wilhelm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Waldo Renteria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cascade Park West's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldo Renteria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cascade Park West's Piotr Brzakala got a free kick in the 30th minute. Waldo Renteria took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Buccella. Antonio Buccella dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dario Wilhelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvard Slæggerup in the 44th minute of the match. Dario Wilhelm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Slæggerup, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvard Slæggerup got free with Dario Wilhelm in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
