An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Rosa in the 7th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Andriy Lunin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s David Elodio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lionel Paly narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, David Elodio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Paly having to interfere. Toralf Hell kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Rosa in the 43rd minute of play. Andriy Lunin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Rosa in the 44th minute of the match. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Elodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Elodio made a kick off. Andriy Lunin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pirmin Jäggi in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute of the game Bernhard Zollinger made a throw-in which Pirmin Jäggi played forward. Andriy Lunin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Rosa in the 63rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as David Elodio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lionel Paly. That made the score 0-3 in the 66 minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Tory Pryor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wil 1900's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tory Pryor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lionel Paly was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and David Elodio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Elodio really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Ödön Szily got a free kick in the 85th minute. Lionel Paly made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when David Elodio sent off a good shot on target. FC Wil 1900's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when David Elodio scored to the left of an out of position Lionel Paly, making the score, 0-5. When the final whistle went the supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Wil 1900 side.
