The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, FC SOLOTHURN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaw Zuraw to maneuver through the defense. Kristoffer Bjurström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Macedo having to interfere. The Stockholm IF fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Stockholm IF's Kristoffer Bjurström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice moves Anfilogino Sasso could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Qin Ting Peng however easily saved by the left post. Josué Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Bjurström in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of FC SOLOTHURN booed when Stockholm IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Jonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panait Stolniciu got free with Qin Ting Peng in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, FC SOLOTHURN's goal looked a bit too open when Kristoffer Bjurström came free, but Josué Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristoffer Bjurström in the 21st minute of play. FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 45th minute, Krzysztof Bobrowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to FC SOLOTHURN getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Francesco Dorigatti hit a great ball. Josué Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Bjurström in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacob Madruga made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Stockholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Bjurström to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th match minute, Stockholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Nordström to maneuver through the defense. Qin Ting Peng came out of the goal and Panait Stolniciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo got control of the ball when Kristoffer Bjurström tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 81 played minutes Kristoffer Bjurström rounded FC SOLOTHURN's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Kristoffer Bjurström scored 1-5 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josué Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Panait Stolniciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qin Ting Peng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Sasso in the 96th minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Qin Ting Peng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Holmgren in the 97th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Madruga in the 99th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Qin Ting Peng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chants of Stockholm IF echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as FC SOLOTHURN had held the ball for most of the match.
