A collision led to Sydney FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Dennis Rzepka hit a great ball. After 11 minutes of play, TSV Delliehausen's Oliver Körth made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Bremicker was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute Niklas Köhler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Bremicker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niklas Köhler scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Bremicker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michael Bremicker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Körth went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Jakov Stähr fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sydney FC's protests and gave Jakov Stähr a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Jakov Stähr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Köhler in the 28th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Michael Bremicker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörn Funk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakov Stähr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes, Jakov Stähr made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. TSV Delliehausen's Jörn Funk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Niklas Köhler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Niklas Köhler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TSV Delliehausen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niklas Köhler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Bremicker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Körth, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 47th minute Marcello Karger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Funk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oliver Körth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Niklas Köhler rounded Sydney FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. After 53 played minutes TSV Delliehausen got a freekick which was hit by Falko Gemmeke. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Michael Bremicker successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakov Stähr in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörn Funk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Humann in the 65th minute of play forced TSV Delliehausen's goalkeeper Jörn Funk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Körth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Michael Bremicker made a huge save. After 71 played minutes, Sydney FC's Guy Rothe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jörn Funk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sydney FC reached it. In the 72nd minute Julius Humann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Funk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niklas Köhler in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Bremicker saved Sydney FC from getting behind. TSV Delliehausen's Herbert Neffin got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Humann in the 84th minute of play forced TSV Delliehausen's goalkeeper Jörn Funk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakov Stähr in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörn Funk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. TSV Delliehausen's Jörn Funk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcello Karger in the 87th minute of play. Michael Bremicker stood somewhat misplaced when Oliver Körth came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 90 minute. The Sydney FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. TSV Delliehausen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
