Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rodriguinho de Toledo got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho de Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serginho Taffarel. MINEIROS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodriguinho de Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Goiano in the 8th minute of play forced S.C. Reis United's goalkeeper João Paulo Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. João Paulo Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Goiano in the 16th minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Toninho Goiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Quadros in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Silvinho Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serginho Taffarel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fabinho Pereira. After 31 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by Vágner Gaspar. Serginho Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodriguinho de Toledo went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Hugo Albuquerque hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A collision led to MINEIROS getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Benê Amorim hit a great ball. Serginho Taffarel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paulo Renato Trevisan.

The wind increased when Toninho Goiano made the kick off in the second half. Serginho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 60th match minute, S.C. Reis United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodriguinho de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. MINEIROS's Nico de Mendonça was substituted for Joel Quadros. After a rather tough play, S.C. Reis United's Rodriguinho de Toledo got a free kick in the 61st minute. Fabinho Pereira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Serginho Taffarel. MINEIROS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho de Toledo came free, but Serginho Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes, Eduardo Gaspar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.C. Reis United and the MINEIROS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of MINEIROS booed when S.C. Reis United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Benê Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to MINEIROS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Nico de Mendonça hit a great ball. In the 87th minute of the match Henrique Lago sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serginho Taffarel skillfully saved the ball. Serginho Taffarel came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Reis United's Eduardo Gaspar. But to his dismay, Eduardo Gaspar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho de Toledo in the 92nd minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Serginho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Nico de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 94 minutes, Rodriguinho de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Reis United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodriguinho de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
