In the 19th minute of the match, Gustavo Souza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Moisés Antunes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paulo José Monteiro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Os 11 garotos's Evandro Maia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moisés Antunes. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. Moisés Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Souza in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Moisés Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evandro Maia. 47 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Maia came free, but Moisés Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The tension between the Os 11 garotos and the Monumento Sports players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Os 11 garotos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. If Paulo José Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Evandro Maia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moisés Antunes. Monumento Sports's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evandro Maia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Evandro Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os 11 garotos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evandro Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gernando Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monumento Sports's protests and gave Gernando Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes Monumento Sports got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Seco. Moisés Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Os 11 garotos fully deserved thier win.
