The audience was convinced that Nilson Paraibano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Cassia was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Rômulo de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Rondinone F.C - FDFDF from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Alcântara in the 25th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Wilson Cassia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francana's Wilson Cassia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Alcântara in the 38th minute of play. Wilson Cassia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Wilson Cassia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Esteves in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, A.A. Francana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Soeiro to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean de Barros to make the kick off. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Daniel Alcântara in the 53rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Wilson Cassia was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for A.A. Francana through an amazing save. Francana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Róbson Prata shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Wilson Cassia but with some difficulty.
