Formentera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lin Sen ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Estevez in the 21st minute of play forced U21 Totoras F.C.'s goalkeeper Bruce Wayne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Vollmari in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Joestar saved Formentera from getting behind. Blas Estevez might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruce Wayne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Estevez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute Blas Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Wayne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Joestar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Vollmari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Joestar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Thomas Vollmari who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Joestar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Vollmari to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Vollmari in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Joestar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Astor Etxahun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Formentera's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Etxahun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruce Wayne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elberg Monte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Bruce Wayne made a huge save. Jonathan Joestar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamar Paige, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 Totoras F.C. had won after a very even match.
